What
We Do
The purpose of the University Center Computer Store is to provide
computer products and services as inexpensively as possible to the
students, staff, faculty, and departments of The University of Tennessee.
We have over 10,000 computer products available, including academically
priced hardware from Apple, Lenovo Thinkpad, Hewlett-Packard,
Epson, and Dell. We also have the best selection
of Apple hardware and software in Knoxville.
We service computers,
troubleshooting hardware and software, doing minor repairs and upgrades.
And, we facilitate warranty service for
the manufacturers we sell. This means you don't have to wait around
for technical assistance, we can handle the calls and service for you.
We are also an Apple Authorized Service Provider.
Who We Are
The UC Computer Store
is a part of the UT Book & Supply
Store, and our surplus revenues help support the operation of
the University Center and the Aquatic Center. Most of our employees
are also students,
so they have a very good idea of what a student's computing needs
are. Our staff is knowledgeable in both Apple and Windows
platforms,
earns no commissions, and has no incentives to recommend a specific
manufacturer or size of system.
Getting What You Need
The easiest
way to get your new computer and all the software you need is to
visit the store while you are on campus. Bring your new UT
ID card to the University Center Computer Store, and we'll assist
you in selecting the best computer to meet your needs. If we
don't have what you need in stock, you can place an order.

All
prices, configurations, and availability are subject to change
without notice and do not include sales tax. Most items can
be sold only to University of Tennessee students, staff,
faculty, and departments for their personal use. Products
may not be purchased for resale. Proof of eligibility is
required. All purchases are for educational use and may not
be used in a business or commercial setting.
Hours
- Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 5:30 pm
- Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm during the summer,
the day before University holidays, and when school is not in
session.
- Please Note: For computer purchases, please arrive at least thirty
minutes before we close. For payroll deductions, please
arrive at least one hour before we close.
This will allow us the extra time needed to process these sales.

Purchasing Limitations
- Computers and software purchased from us must be for the buyers
personal use. Merchandise may not be purchased with intent of
lease, loan, resale, or use in a business.
- Apple: One computer purchase per 12-month
period. (One desktop and one laptop)
- Lenovo/Thinkpad: One computer purchase
per 12-month period.
- Departments may also place orders
for software or hardware under $5000.

Accepted Methods of Payment
- Students, including Graduate Assistants: Payment is due at
the time of order. Payment may be in cash, check, cashier's check,
Master Card, or Visa. Sorry, we do not accept American
Express, Discover, or AllStar.
- Full-time faculty and staff may arrange a computer purchase
through payroll deduction.
- Financing is available for students through several companies.
